YOUR CREATION
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful O mankind! Who created you from ‘a single soul’ and from it created its mate? ‘Allah!’ And from the pair of them ‘scattered abroad’ many men and women! He is the Creator and All-Knowing, Who created ‘all things’ well. He originated the ‘creation of man’ out of clay — from ‘black molded loam,’ then He shaped him, and breathed ‘His Spirit’ in him, and He shaped you, and fashioned you well! First black, then a red, then a golden, then white — ‘in stages’ one after another in ‘threefold shadows’ so as to illuminate the whole earth! On the earth He has fashioned for you ‘objects of various hues.’ We have put forth in this Qur’an every kind of parable, in order that you might receive admonition. Will you not take heed? Your ‘insolence’ is only against ‘yourselves!’ Children of Adam! We are Allah’s Helpers, and He created ‘you all from one man’ — from whom He ‘after-wards’ formed his wife! All People are a ‘single nation’ for in the beginning they were black. We created you male and female and appointed you ‘races and tribes’ — by the will of Allah! But those whom He has ‘lighted’ have taken from ‘the darkness’ of Adam! This is of the ‘Revelations of Allah’ that ‘they’ may remember! ….. ********** Satan is the ‘sworn enemy’ of man! When your Lord said unto the Angels: “I am placing on the earth, one that shall rule as My Deputy — I am creating man from clay. When I have shaped him and breathed My ‘spirit’ into him, ‘fall down in obeisance’ to him!” ….. All made obeisance except Satan, who was of the Jinn. He ‘swelled with pride’ and revolted from his Lord’s command! Said Allah: “Iblis! What has prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I have made with Mine Own Hands?” ….. Satan replied: “Shall I make obeisance to him who You created out of clay? Of ‘black mud’ altered? I am ‘better than he.’ For me, You created of ‘smokeless fire!’ If you should ‘respite me’ to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely ‘master his seed’ and shall mislead them, every one!” ….. Allah said: “It is not for you to ‘wax proud’ here! So go forth ‘despised.’ I will give you reprieve until ‘an appointed day.’ As for those who follow you — I shall fill Hell with you all!” ….. ********** Children of Adam! Follow not in ‘Satan’s footsteps!’ Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. Mankind were ‘only one nation’ — then they fell into variance, thanks to Satan! Everyone ‘acts’ according to ‘his own disposition’ and truly the most worthy of honor among you in the sight of Allah, is he who ‘fears Him most!’ The ‘skins’ of those who fear their Lord, ‘tremble thereat’ — then their hearts and flesh become ‘pliant’ to Allah’s Reminder! The Faithful know that it is the Truth from their Lord. How can you turn away?
