KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, AND UNDERSTANDING
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Knowledge! Walk in the way of Wise men, who tread the paths of Righteousness. Fools despise Wisdom and Instruction! Do not walk in their path, for their feet run to Evil. Trust in Allah with all your heart, and do not despise the Lord’s Discipline! The Lord reproves him whom He loves! He has Mercy on those who accept His chastening. It is to restrain you from Wickedness! It is to teach and correct you — that you be not Punished for evil and wicked deeds done out of Ignorance. With Intelligence, commune in the Law of the Most High, and in all your works guard yourselves. He who trusts and fears Allah will do this, and control his tendencies! ********** Allah created Wisdom from the beginning — all Wisdom comes from the Lord! Do you not see how manifold are His Works? In Wisdom He made them all, and by Understanding established the Heavens. If you desire Wisdom, keep the Commandments, and Allah will give it without measure to those who love Him! The Book has been written, that the worthy and unworthy may read! Allah grants Wisdom to whom He Wills, and whoever is granted Wisdom is granted wealth in abundance. Take Instruction, instead of silver; and Knowledge rather than gold — for Wisdom is better than jewels! Treasure up these words, making your ear attentive to Wisdom, and incline your hearts to Understanding. Then you shall understand Righteousness and Justice — for Wisdom shall enter your heart, and Understanding shall guard you from men who forsake the Upright Path! Doubt not the Book, that you may see and Know what is Good. You then will rule over your Understanding, and discipline your Heart! For Truly from it — flows the Spring of Understanding, the Fountain of Wisdom, and the Stream of Knowledge!
