A GRACIOUS MESSENGER
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful This is the word of a ‘gracious messenger’ — held in honor by the Lord of the Throne, and faithful to his trust! We have endowed him with sight and hearing, and We have shown him the ‘right path’ that you might not transgress it. Man is ungrateful to his Lord, except the believers who do ‘good works.’ Which of the Lord’s blessings would you deny? We have given you an ‘abundance’ — an Apostle of Allah, reading ‘sanctified pages’ from Eternal Scriptures, which reveals His Splendor! Blessed is the man who has kept it pure. Have We not given him two eyes, a tongue, and two lips, and shown him the ‘two paths’ in the day of famine? Praise the name of your Lord, Who has created all things and well proportioned them! All this is written in earlier Scriptures. Rejoice, observe the Scriptures with a firm resolve — ‘untouched’ by man. Such is the will of your Lord. That is no difficult thing for Him. When He decrees a thing, He need only say: “Be!”….. and it is! ********** We gave to him of ‘Our Mercy!’ We do not descend from heaven save at the bidding of your Lord. Worship Him and be loyal in His service. Allah will increasingly guide those that have followed the right path. Therefore have patience! Have you not heard how Allah dealt with Aad and with Thamud, and with Pharaoh? We gave them Our revelations, but they turned away from them! Think! Your hearts are taken up with worldly gain from the cradle to the grave! They shall be flung to the Destroying Flame. Would that you knew what the Destroying Flame is like! Mankind and Jinn, would that you understood this! Why do you deny the greatness of Allah, when He has made you in gradual stages? Truly the unbelievers are in the grossest error! They ask: “Why is no sign been given him from His Lord?” ….. Such men shall be content by that which is ‘dual’ when it comes! ********** Ever bursting with ‘new growth’ — this is a discerning utterance! Surely in the tale of Joseph and his brothers there are signs for doubting men! ….. Stained with false blood; and when he ‘reached maturity’ We bestowed on him Wisdom and Knowledge; if it is torn from the back, then he is telling the Truth; yet most men do not know it — the king’s drinking cup!….. By the Lord, that which We now reveal to you is ‘secret history’ most men will not believe. Can you not understand? This is no invented tale, yet the unbelievers still deny it! But Allah knows best the falsehoods they believe in, when others measure for them. “It is a sealed book!” ….. the evildoers who when Our revelations are recited to them cry. No! — their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts! It is a ‘sealed Book’ — seen only by those who are closest to Allah! Let him who is wise bear this in mind. It is set down on honored pages ‘purified and exalted’ — which We kept in a ‘safe receptacle’ for an appointed time! Follow its words attentively and keep away from all pollution. For your Lord’s sake it ‘leaves nothing’ so that those to whom the Scriptures were given may be convinced, and the True believers strengthened in their faith!
