In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
All Praise is due to Allah, the Wise, the Gracious, the Merciful! O Mankind! How foolish and vain — quick to do iniquity, and slow to do good are the Children of Men! They are quick to listen to the words of the Evil One, and set their hearts upon the vain things of this world. Quick to be lifted up in pride, and quick to boast — which is evil, but slow to remember Allah, and give ear to His Counsels!
They do not desire that Allah, Who has created them should rule and reign over them, and they desire not that He should be their Guide! By the Power of His Voice, if the Lord shall say unto man: “Because of your iniquities you shall be accursed forever!” ….. It shall be done! And if the Lord shall say: “Because of your iniquities, you shall be cut off from My Presence!” ….. He will cause that it shall be so!
Woe unto him to whom He shall say these things — for he cannot be saved! Those who listen to the Voice of Allah, are they who shall be saved! I wish that all men might be saved, but those who do evil will have Everlasting Damnation!
If a Prophet comes among you and declares to you the Words of Allah, which testifies of your sins and iniquities — you are angry with him, and seek all manner of ways to destroy him! Because he testifies that your deeds are evil. But if a man shall come among you and say: “Walk after the pride of your eyes, and do whatever your heart desires!” ….. You will receive him!
You will give him your money, and you will clothe him in costly apparel, because he speaks flattering words unto you, and says that all is well! O Perverse Generation! How long will you suffer yourselves to be led by foolish and blind guides? How long will you choose Darkness rather than Light? The anger of the Lord is already kindled against you, because of your iniquity!
He that preaches for love of Allah — flatters no one, but preaches in Truth! He that reproves not sins — having respect of persons, and flattering particular men should be avoided! For in truth, he poisons the human heart. Do you understand? Even as a wounded man has no need of fine bandages to bind up his wounds, but rather good ointment. So also has a sinner no need for fine words, but rather good reproofs — in order that he may cease to sin!
O Children of Israel! I, Samuel, speak the Words of Allah, and an Angel of the Lord, declared it unto me! He has put it in my heart to say to you, that the Sword of Justice hangs over you! Yes! Heavy destruction awaits you, and it will surely come. Nothing can save you except it be repentance and faith in Allah!
Penitence is a reversing of the evil life! Every sense must be turned around to the contrary of that which it wrought while sinning. Instead of pride, humility; instead of lust, chastity; instead of laughter, mourning; let story-telling be turned into prayer, war into peace, and avarice into alms-giving! Know that penitence more than anything must be done for pure love of Allah. The foundation of our salvation is Allah. When man has sinned he has lost the foundation of his salvation! Even Satan the enemy of all good, has great remorse for having lost Paradise. But yet will he never find Mercy, because he has no love of Allah — he hates his Creator!
Thus said the Lord unto me: “Woe to they who repent not! Because of the hardness of their hearts, I will suffer them no longer, except they repent. And woe to this great city, I will cause that fire come down from heaven and destroy it, for the wickedness and abominations which are in her!” ….. Listen to the words of the Lord, He says that you have set you hearts upon your riches, and have not hearkened to Him, Who has given them to you! You do not remember the Lord, but do remember your riches and swell with great pride — unto envy, malice, persecutions and murders and all manner of iniquities!
